Compliance audit status

The audit status and any adverse findings, published as the Research Analyst regulations require.

Every Research Analyst registered with SEBI must have its compliance with the Research Analyst Regulations audited, and must publish the status of that audit together with any adverse findings and the action taken on them. This page is that publication.

Current status

No audit has been conducted, because registration has not yet been granted. The obligation attaches on registration. The first audit period, the auditor and the outcome will be published here as soon as they exist, whether or not the findings are flattering.

What gets published here

  • The period audited and the date of the report.
  • The auditor — a member of the ICAI, ICSI or ICMAI, as the regulations require.
  • Any adverse findings, stated rather than summarised away.
  • The action taken on each finding, and by when.

Why it is here and not buried

Because the point of the requirement is that a prospective client can see it before deciding. An audit outcome published where nobody looks satisfies the letter of a rule and none of its purpose.
